It was one in the afternoon when Julian heard his cell phone going off, thinking it was Kristie, he leaped over his bed to reach his phone. once he opened his phone, he saw it was a number he didn't even know. " be down at the basement in twenty minutes, or you're secrets are everywhere." Julian laughed. His secrets were already out, besides that the baby might be his. He shoved his phone into his pocket, and slipped his shoes on. he moved through his dorm room, and out the door. he didn't really know what to expect when he went down to the basement, but he heard someone talking about how they changed four rooms down there to some nice suit kind of thing. he wondered who was behind all of this.
he made his way down the hall way, and turned to the staircase that he never used ever. he knew that this staircase was always empty, maybe because it went straight down to the basement. he finally pushed the door open to the end of the staircase opening up to the basement. his eyes opened and his mouth dropped. someone really redid this place, because for one it wasn't creepy anymore. someone really had to have a good spot with the dean to do this and get away with it. he made his way down the hall, till he stopped infront of a door that had the name tapped on it " bryce lapointe, kristie rodgers, and julian lapointe."
julian sighed a huge breath of air, and said" great, let's get this over with."

kris looked at her phone, which was blaring music, alerting her of a newly received text. her dark brown hair was pulled back into a high bun on top or her head, and she was currently praying to the porcelain gods. she wiped her mouth, flushed the toilet, and slowly stood up. why did people even like being pregnant? since she'd found out, she'd began puking on a more than regular basis, craving weird things, and just wanting to sleep. and the weight gain was a huge pain in her ass too! she couldn't wear half the stuff she usually did, and the other half fit tightly, or just didn't feel right anymore. she hated all of this mess she'd gotten into, and then on top of being hormonal, bryce and julian seemed even worse off than she was.
she grabbed her phone off of her bed, and checked her text. some weird number with some stupid threat. she rolled her eyes and picked up, just as bryce was calling her. he'd gotten the same thing, and she was beginning to wonder if julian had sent them, or gotten the same as well. she blew her bangs out of her face, and pulled some comfortable clothes out of her closet before depositing her phone in her pocket and her keys, and locking her door behind her. people were just ridiculous sometimes.
kris was sitting in a chair, one leg over the other, when she heard julian's voice. there had been a sign on the door, and apparently she was the first to show. "what's going on julian?" she asked, raising one eye brow. she wasn't mad at him, but she'd much rather be elsewhere at the moment -oh like, say her bed, asleep?

Bryce had been showering when his phone went off with a text message. About five minutes after receiving it he finally read it and called Kristie, it seemed like some kind of prank, something Julian would do, and maybe she was in on it. When she wasn't he figured he should probably go to the room it directed him to. He had his fair share of secrets, didn't everyone? Some of his could even potentially ruin his future, or whatever future he had left anyway. Lately Bryce had been pretty on edge. He tried not to be, especially around Kristie, but it was difficult when he felt like the ground was crumbling beneath him. He felt guilty that Kristie was pregnant and he knew that it was completely his own drunken fault and he couldn't just leave Kristie with that burden on her own. Yeah, it would be tough, but he knew he had to take responsibility. They had talked a little bit, but there was a lot more that needed to be discussed. Like what was going to happen with them? Should they try and be a couple for the sake of the baby that was coming? Bryce jogged down the hall, he had a good amount of energy left from the red bull he had drank earlier in the day. He had gone to the gym, whenever he was having a hard time with anything in life, he went twice as hard at the gym. He stopped in front of the door that the text message had told him to go to. The names on the door didn't surprise him, he just didn't understand why, and still believed it was Julian up to something. He opened the door to see Julian and Kristie. He only had on basketball shorts and a pair of socks, no shirt. He just hadn't thought of grabbing one and didn't plan on staying in this room long. "What the hell is this, Julian?" he asked, obviously accusing him of setting it up "You could have just normally invited us over if you wanted to hang out."

julian was going to hate this alright. lately, him and his younger brother weren't really getting along at all. after everything the other night, life seemed to be upside down. what he would do to go back when him and kristie were just best friends. maybe, he should of tried harder to tell her, maybe he should of just not falling for her at all. but, you can't help your feelings, and you can't fix the past. a sigh from inside came out, and he looked at the door, and opened it. he saw his best friend, the girl that stole his heart so many years ago sitting at the desk. his heart skipped a beat, and he looked her up and down. a smile formed on his face, like always before he shrugged. he looked at her, and said" like i know. i was just in my room and then i got this strange text from some number i didn't know."
he turned around as he heard the door open, to see his younger brother. oh, hell this is going to be just great. he took a sigh, and then listened to him. really, he blamed julian for this shit? because, julian would have the balls to set this up, right? his eyes rolled and said" i would of texted you myself if i wanted to see your face. i would of called kristie if i wanted to see her, or talk to her. i wouldn't put you in the basement, and i sure as hell wouldn't of decorated it down here like i was a prissy girl from the valley." he laughed, and then looked at both of them. he looked back to see a couch. he walked over and sat down and said " might as well relax and go with the flow because it seems like we're stuck here for a little, unless you want the secrets all around the school."

she turned to look at julian as he came in, and then again, a few minutes later when bryce appeared. "well..." she said, picking at the paint on her nails. she was beyond bored, and nervous too; it didn't help her nausea any. "we're all here, now what?" she stared at bryce, who was as usual, in a pretty bad mood. she didn't blame him though. he and julian weren't exactly getting along, especially after bryce had said football was more important than a baby, and then, he'd turned around and said she was his girlfriend over the schoolwide chat? that had been awkward too. they'd talked some, he'd been more than sweet, and everything kristie could possibly want, but she still didn't know where they were at this point, or what was going to happen.
she loved julian, but as a best friend, and currently, she had a few mixed feelings for him, which were reasonable, even though she couldn't expect bryce to understand. she still hadn't told him about that day with julian, and she really didn't think julian was going to be the one to tell him either.
and then, there was bryce. she'd always loved bryce. her whole life, it'd been him. even through their awkward gangly phase (they'd both played sports very seriously before moving into high school), and now, in their years of entering adulthood, they were going to be parents? she really wasn't looking for him to be her boyfriend or anything more. she did want him around for the baby though, but other than that, she had no clue what to expect. she knew her parents would give her the 'i'm so disappointed look, ' and tell her everything would be okay, maybe even suggest adoption: that was not an option though. and the lapointe's saw kris as one of their own! what were they going to say when she and bryce had to tell them? she leaned back and tilted her head, closing her eyes. she rubbed her temples, and then stood, walking around the desk, stopping to lean against it. "so...I thought all of our secrets were pretty much out, guys?" she said, looking from bryce to julian. she really had a bad feeling about this...or maybe that was more morning sickness?

Bryce stared at his brother as he listened to his response, then finally took a moment to look around the room. It was pretty oddly decorated, so he shrugged "Yeah, I don't think you'd be able to pull this kind of stuff off." He told himself to relax a little and took a deep breathe. It just seemed as if everything Julian did lately got under his skin. His eyes landed on Kristie finally, who seemed pretty bored and relaxed. He couldn't understand how she was staying so calm, but he appreciated that she did. It helped him in a lot of ways. If she was freaking out too, well he would probably be freaking out twice as much. He gave her a half-smile, for no particular reason. He felt like he owed it to her, like he owed a lot to her. "I don't have any secrets." Bryce let out, maybe it was a lie. It wasn't like he was keeping anything from either of them that really effected them in anyway. He looked back at Julian. "Do you?" he questioned. Yeah, everything he was doing had been bothering him lately, but he thought he had been acting kind of funny around him too. He guessed if anything it was some sick twisted jealousy that he was having a baby with Kristie. He didn't get it. Bryce felt a little foolish now for running down there without a shirt or shoes on. He really hadn't expected to be staying, or that it was even a serious text. He sat down in one of the other chairs and told himself to relax again, letting himself slouch a little. His curly hair was still damp from his shower, and he looked at the ground. The three of them being together like this felt awkward and weird now.

he sighed, of course he was happy that his brother believed him. but, lately everything he has been saying just makes him mad. he can't stand his brother and his remarks towards him lately. he sighed, and let it go then. he looked towards kristie, and smiled. he looked back and forth between his brother and kristie. he just knew for some reason that they would work out if that baby wasn't julians. He also knew even if it wasn't his baby, and they worked out, he'd accept it. He would always be there for Kristie, and always have both of their backs. He loved them, after all.
he looked to kristie, and smirked, and then heard bryce. His nose flared, and then he said" why do you always assume I'm lying to you? Like, I lied to you about one damn thing in our whole life, get over it." He looked at kristie, and sighed. He knew that Kristie didn't want Bryce to know that there was a slight chance that this baby was julians, and that julian and kristie had sex a few weeks back. He didn't want him to know either, because his brother seemed to be really stepping up with everything, and changing how he was acting. Expect towards him. He took a sigh, and looked to Kristie. He hoped that she knew he was doing this for the own good of them, and not for himself. He was trying to make things clear between them now. He wanted everything to be set on the table after today. But, he knew he would wait to say it a little bit.

"I'm quite certain, that thanks to that school wide chat, everybody knows all of our secrets." kristie said, almost amused, but not quite. she hated seeing her two best friends fight, especially over a girl, and especially over her. she was looking at julian, and wondering why he and bryce couldn't just get along, when out of the corner of her eye, she noticed something, and looked over at bryce. he had came down here sans shirt. and though kristie wasn't lodging any complaints about it, she did blush just slightly. she looked at his face, and noticed he'd relaxed a little. he looked at her, and their eyes locked for a moment, making her really blush. what was up with her lately? she had slept with him, for christ sake! and now, she was getting all mushy and bothered by his bare flesh?
scenarios of them started playing in her head, and then she remembered she was still looking at bryce, who had offered a sort of smile, and julian was still there, and he wasn't in a good mood at all. he'd probably be in an even worse mood now that she'd been staring at his brother like she had, but she couldn't help it. it had always been bryce who had been physically attractive to her. his hair was wet, she noted, her gaze travelling down the length of his body. and he had no shoes on? "were you showering when I called, or are you always this unprepared?" she asked, a slightly crooked grin creeping onto her face. she'd gotten pretty good at ignoring the fact that they were having a kid and acting like everything was normal.

Bryce watched Kristie for a moment, she seemed almost out of it as she gazed at him. Did she always look at him like that? Why had he never noticed before? It was kind of weird. He had always seen kristie as more of a friend or a sister, never really looking at her like she was a girl. A girl he would ever date or do anything with. But now look at them. "You alright?" he asked her, his voice a little softer tone. He let his eyes wander back to where Julian sat now. "I never said you lied. I asked if you had any secrets, there's a difference." he paused before adding "I only ask because you've been acting so freaking weird towards me the past few days. And because you've been acting like a little girl in general." Of course, that could have been for many reasons. Like realizing he would be an uncle, or that he and Kristie had slept together, Bryce wasn't really sure. "And I wasn't the one that wanted to air out all of that on the school wide chat." he pointed out as an after thought. He hated the school chat, all it was was drama. He didn't see any of that coming when he had logged on, or he never would have to begin with. He leaned back in the chair where he sat, stretching his arms up above his head. "Yeah, I was in the shower. I would have grabbed more clothes but I thought it was Julian being an ass and it wouldn't only be a couple minutes." he explained. It wasn't that Bryce was trying to show off his body, but he didn't mind it either. He worked out for a reason, and it clearly paid off, so he wasn't afraid of flaunting it either.

julian noticed the stares and look that kristie gave his little brother, because he had been giving the look to kristie a few weeks ago at the beach. he remembered how much he craved her, and wanted her next to him, which that feeling never went away. once he had her, he wanted her all the time. gosh darnit it was the worse feeling in the world; wanting someone so much that you'll never have. dying cruelly would of been way less painful than the feelings he had inside his chest right now. he took a gulp, and then looked away from them too. he really had to be stuck in this room for more than an hour just to hide some secrets that he had not even let kristie known of. yeah, julian was full of secrets. but there was something he just didn't want anyone to know, not even his brothers and kristie.
he looked at his brother, and sighed. he really hated this right now. he didn't want to argue with his brother. he looked away for a minute, and said" bryce, for one thing, i am not acting like a little girl at all. i'm sorry that i am not you, and i handle my feelings a different way. but, bryce, i've kept most of them in for more than eightteen years of my life. i have the temper of a bull, and the patients of a five year old, so shut up before i really get so annoyed with you, because the past week, you've really been pissing me off." he took a deep breath, and said" i have a secret, but you know what? i'm just going to be you and lie to you like you both did to me. nothing happened between me and kristie at the beach. figure it out for yourself, bryce. get a fucking clue."
julian was done, he was literally done with his little brother. he had pushed him way to far for everyone's own good. he looked at kristie, and took a breath. this girl could make him go nuts, and calm down all in the same time. this girl was something that he could never understand. he was weak, yet strong around her. he showed his true feelings, and for once that was something strange. Julian only ever cared about one girl he dated, and it was faith. Other than that, he always cared about kristie. It was always there in the back of his head, just sitting there. he looked back at his brother, and grumbled. he was so done. he sat in his seat, back with a grumpy look on his face, the one that was not pleasant. if julian was mad, he would let the whole world know.

a simple nod was her only reply as she snapped back into focus, and noticed that julian and bryce were once again going back and forth, grumpily. "be nice!" she barked at both of them, a slight glare at bryce, before moving onto julian, whom she narrowed her eyes at. she never could really get mad and stay that way with either of them, but lately things had been way too tense for her liking. bryce was always commenting on something julian would say, and julian was always blowing up on bryce. it all made her head hurt far too much, especially with all of the hormones in her body being in over drive. "I think that we can sit, and be friendly, in a room, for five freaking minutes!" she said, crossing her arms across her chest, daring either of them to talk back to her.
when kris got mad, she meant business. she didn't have a temper problem like julian, though she wasn't as solid as bryce either -she was a girl after all. "julian, I don't think he was calling you a liar. stop overreacting so much." she said, sitting forward, and to adjust how she was sitting, and then leaning back again, "and stop pouting, because it really does make you seem hormonal and girly." she added, frustrated with both of them. the more she thought about it, the madder she got. why couldn't julian leave well enough alone? bryce was almost actually stepping up and taking responsibility for what had happened. this was what julian had wanted in the first place, wasn't it? and now, it was happening and he was acting crazy!
suddenly, kristie didn't feel so well. her stomach churned, and her face flushed. she was hot all under, and a little dizzy. she sat her hands down on the desk to steady herself. this whole being pregnant thing just wasn't working out in her favour.

Bryce closed his eyes as his brother went on a huge rant at him. He completely blocked out everything he said. Why did he need to be yelled at by him? Why couldn't Julian see that Bryce was feeling a ton of pressure the last couple days and just let him deal with it in his own way, without his bothering? The one thing that Bryce did hear, however, was when he was told to get a clue. "What? A clue about what you did at the beach? You guys kissed, big whoop-de-fucking-doo, Jul." he really didn't care at that point if they had kissed. It wasn't like Kristie was his girlfriend, but it was kind of weird to think about. About a moment later the context of what Julian had said was piecing together in his mind. like you two lied to me. nothing happened between us at the beach. "Wait, what?" he looked at Julian, confused "What are you trying to say Julian? Are you trying to say something?" before Bryce could say anything else he was cut off by Kristie. He could tell she was pissed, and when she called him girly he chuckled, he couldn't help it. When he looked at Kristie though she looked tense and sickly. "Woah, are you okay?" he asked. He didn't know barely anything about pregnancy, or how to deal with pregnant people, or anything. He was not prepared for any of this in the least. He stood up, not sure if he should do something to help her or if there was anything he could even do. It made him feel completely awful though, and you could hear the concern in his voice.

julian sighed, of course he would just block him out. no one ever listened to julian, of course. Julian felt like no one ever understood him sometimes, and he covered up much of his feelings with his wittyness, and his nonserious attitude about everything in life. But recently, everything had been getting to him. Alot. He needed to stop with that, and now. Julian sighed at him, and said" Right, Just kissed." He laughed a bit at the end of that. Then kristie spoke. Oh, great. Way to start on him. Julian was spinning back and forth between them both attacking him. He couldn't end the fact that they were both mad at him. He couldn't stop his thoughts.
He heard Bryce, but that didn't matter now. His eyes were on Kristie before Bryce even talked. He looked at her intensly watching her. Something was wrong, and he knew it. He had watched her, took care of her plenty times when she didn't feel good, even if it meant he would end up sick. He knew that Bryce didn't know anything about pregnancy, but he remembered his mother being pregnant with Jackson. He remembered how she got sick, and how sometimes things were too stressful for her. He took a breath, and said" Are you okay, kristie?" He looked at his brother, and said" she might need some water, bryce." His eyes darted around, and then said" there's a fridge over there, go look what's in it. Mom used to drink alot of water when she was pregnant with Jack. She said that she used to get overheated because of work, and just take a icecub, and suck on it, and she would do that over and over." He looked at her, and walked towards her.
The care that was in his voice was obvious. She was his best friend, and they grew up together. They're family considered eachother family, and he would take care of Kristie. He sighed, and said" I'm sorry, Kristie. I'm going to stop this fighting. I'm being stupid, I should stop caring about my feelings, and take care of you when you're the one we should be focused on." He looked to bryce, and then gave him the look. He knew that Bryce was trying too. He should just stop being the over annoying brother that he was being, and help both of them.

"guys." she said, steadily, and awkwardly aware of how warm the room was, "I'm fine." she said, shrugging, and crossing her arms back over her chest again, shrugging nonchalantly. "really, I'm fine." she looked at them both, wide eyed. for once, in a couple of days, they weren't fighting...except...except there was that little comment julian had just said about the beach. she shot another death glare at him, praying bryce hadn't caught it. "shut up." she muttered. "the only thing wrong with me," she began, once again angry, and ready to let both of them have it -though mostly julian because bryce hadn't really been attacking her. "is that you two keep fighting, and it's stressing me out," she stopped, and laughed a little "and my hormones right now are worse than a thirteen year old male who just realized he could google dirty pictures." she let a soft snicker out, and smiled at julian, hoping at least one person appreciated her joke. he was supposed to be the funny one, after all.
she stood, and stepped forwards, then began a small circle, her arms crossed. "so..." she stopped, biting her lip. she didn't want to talk about it with julian in the room, but he was bryce's brother, and her best friend. "do we tell our parents?" she asked, her eyes wide, and slightly scared. she couldn't stand thinking about having to tell both of their parents. especially since both families were so close to each other.

Bryce absolutley hated the fact that Julian acted like he knew what he was doing, and even more so that he was telling him what to do. He listened though, for the sake of Kristie, and took one of the water bottles that were inside of the fridge. He recognized the look that Julian gave him and shot one back at him. "You're gonna tell me what you meant by that." Bryce muttered at him, referring to the comment about the beach. It was pretty obvious that there had to be a reason he was bringing that up.
He held the water bottle to Kristie, putting his other hand on her back. He knew that whenever any of the brothers got sick when they were younger his mom would always rub their backs, and it seemed to miraculously help in some way. "Sorry." he mumbled to Kristie, still feeling extremely guilty. Bryce usually tried not to regret things, but at this point he almost wished he could go back and have not slept with the girl, just so she didn't have to go through this.
What she asked next really surprised him, and his eyes darted from her, to Julian, and then back to Kristie. It was kind of an awkward thing to discuss, especially in front of Julian. "We will have to. They'll find out eventually. and I'd rather them hear it from us than anyone else." at the last part he looked back at Julian, an obvious threat for him not to mention it to their parents. He knew his dad was going to kill him, tell him how he ruined his future. His mom might cry. They'd be disappointed, and would not be happy, especially if they knew that the two of them weren't even together. It all just felt like a mess.
